Meet Andrew Lusty at Datanomix

West Coast Account Executive for Datanomix

Why did you choose to join the Datanomix Team?

A groundbreaking solution paired with rock solid leadership, and a spirited team. After meeting with the Datanomix team, it was clear that they have the expertise and depth in place to change how the entire manufacturing industry works with their next generation production intelligence solution.

What makes you excited about your role and working with Datanomix customers?

Solving the real problems that manufacturers in this country are facing gets me excited to work for Datanomix. I’ve spent my whole career inside manufacturing facilities, and it is clear the Datanomix platform is built on core pillars that provide a practical solution to the real issues facing manufacturers today. By creating an easy-to-use, and actionable platform, Datanomix has a leading edge solution that will bring immediate value to customers.

Prior to Datanomix, what were you doing? How can that help you in your current position?

My previous role involved working with manufacturers on bringing value to their process through improved inspection capabilities. By leveraging the latest in technology, we were able to better capture data on the shop floor and in final inspection, reducing inspection times and scrap rates. Just like Datanomix, this gave the customer insight into how their parts were being made and how to better run their business. I’m excited to continue to work with customers in the manufacturing industry to unlock their full potential with the extremely powerful Datanomix platform.

What is one experience in your career that has helped shape who you are?

My first IMTS show. I went fresh out of college. As a mechanical engineer graduate from the University of Colorado Boulder, I still didn’t grasp the importance of the work manufacturers in this country are doing; it’s not something they emphasize in school. It made me realize that manufacturing does not get the credit and publicity it deserves with my generation. The diversity and scale of that show opened my eyes to why manufacturing matters—from developing the latest in micro medical technology to innovating in interplanetary aerospace technology, small or large—it all matters.

Where can we find you on the weekends?  How do you like to spend your free time?

You can always find me in the Rocky mountains. I am an avid outdoorsman who loves backcountry skiing, snowmobiling, camping, hunting, and anything else that can get me breathing in some mountain air. Otherwise, you can find me in the kitchen—I grew up in my family’s seafood restaurant, and am a passionate cook that loves the science and art of cooking.
