## The print, the setup sheet, the tooling sheet, the inspection plan — all delivered to the operator at the machine, all under one rev.

The print clipped to the bench. The setup sheet in someone’s email. The operator walking back to the office to confirm the right rev. In most precision shops, that’s still how the day runs — even in shops that have already digitized their G-Code.

Digital Production Bundles eliminate all of it. Every asset an operator needs to run a part — print, setup sheet, tooling sheet, inspection sheet, work instructions, and the G-Code itself — delivered together, under one rev, to the Machine Heads Up Display (HUD) they already use for [production monitoring](https://datanomix.io/production-monitoring/).

This is what print-to-part on the shop floor actually looks like.

### How We Got Here

When we introduced our [G-Code Cloud™ + DNC](https://datanomix.io/g-code-cloud/) platform at [IMTS 2024](https://datanomix.io/2024/10/29/data-powered-production-transforming-manufacturing-to-make-more-at-imts-2024/) to help solve some longstanding but painful workflows in G-Code Management, we didn’t realize how much more was hiding behind these common issues:

- Are we running the latest rev of the program?

- Who modified it?

- What changes did they make?

- When did they make them?

- Who approved it?

- Are we using the right setup sheet?

- Has the tooling list been updated since last rev?

- Did the operator see the latest print?

As a company focused on fixing [what was broken in Production Monitoring](https://datanomix.io/2022/12/20/the-end-of-the-mediocre-monitoring-era/) since our inception, we were surprised to find these were still ongoing challenges. DNC systems have been around a while (just look at their UI; it’s clear which decade they were built). But through strong customer pull, we learned these are very real problems that are largely unaddressed and poorly supported — and that none of the existing options start with modern-era, web-first architecture built to help shops [achieve CMMC 2.0 compliance](https://datanomix.io/tag/cmmc/) and connect deeply to [Production Monitoring](https://datanomix.io/production-monitoring/) data. We decided we needed to do a lot more than just slosh G-Code across the network while making you think about baud rates and bit settings. We needed to deliver a totally new experience that solves the workflow automation challenges of [today’s labor-constrained environment](https://datanomix.io/2024/04/23/building-a-culture-of-efficiency/).

### Enter Digital Production Bundles™

As we started doing early demonstrations of [G-Code Cloud™ + DNC](https://datanomix.io/g-code-cloud/), the feedback was clear: “What about Setup Sheets? Tooling Sheets? The print of the part? I want it all, together, under rev control, digitally accessible at the machine.”

[Datanomix has always been, and always will be, customer-driven](https://datanomix.io/company/#webuilt) in our product and roadmap choices, so the answer was an easy and emphatic “yes!”

In addition to fine-grained rev control for your programs, G-Code Cloud + DNC supports PDF rendering, STL rendering, and G-Code syntax highlighting, so that any asset you deem worthy of being in a Digital Production Bundle is tagged, connected to its rev, and accessible at the machine where it’s needed.

[G-Code Cloud™ + DNC](https://datanomix.io/g-code-cloud/), coupled with our [Production Monitoring](https://datanomix.io/production-monitoring/), connects the whole organization from Print to Part. Engineering, Planning/Scheduling, Operations, and Operators all speak the same language within a single, simple workflow. Unlike Product Data Management (PDM) software, which is ultimately another point solution that is focused solely on the engineering workflow, this connects the entire operation, not just one piece of it.

#### Smart Matching Keeps the Wrong Rev Off the Floor

A bundle contains one or more part recipes — one per machine that runs the part. Recipes are paired automatically by part number and machine, so an operator can’t pull last month’s revision or a setup sheet meant for a different cell. Every change to every asset is logged with who, what, when, and why, so engineering, planning, ops, and operators all work from a single source of truth.

#### Close the CMMC Gap Most Haven’t Thought About

Most shops in the DoD supply chain are starting to lock down their G-Code as Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI). But G-Code is only one piece. Setup sheets, tooling sheets, work instructions, and the print of the part can all be CUI too — and most are still on shared drives, in email, or clipped to the bench. Digital Production Bundles close that gap. Every asset in the bundle inherits the same rev control, audit trail, encryption, and access controls as the G-Code itself. [Here’s the deeper read on what CMMC Phase 2 means for manufacturers in November 2026](https://datanomix.io/2026/05/01/cmmc-compliance-for-manufacturers/).

### See it on your shop’s machines.

If your shop is still managing setup sheets, tooling lists, and prints separately from your G-Code, that’s the gap Digital Production Bundles closes. Schedule a [demo](https://datanomix.io/schedule-a-demo/) or [request a pilot](https://datanomix.io/request-a-pilot/), and we’ll show you what it looks like on your machines.
